Adventist Health System (AHS) is the largest not-for-profit Protestant health care organization in the U.S., employing 43,000 people. With 36 hospitals in 10 states, AHS totals more than 6,300 beds. Seventeen affiliated extended care centers within the Long-term Care Division make for an additional 2,200 beds. AHS serves nearly 4 million patients annually.
