Communication
.
The Communication Department, led by Martin Weber, exists to create a compelling and comprehensive awareness of our remnant mission and how Mid-America’s leaders, institutions and structures are fulfilling it. Only by receiving such communication can our members have a sense of ownership in their church, which stimulates personal participation and financial enthusiasm.

Outlook magazine is the main product of Mid-America’s Communication Department. It proclaims the wonders of what God is doing throughout our territory. Along with communicating news, Outlook shares inspiration through our union president’s editorials and the prayer commentary of Pastor Ed Gallagher. Frequently there are interviews with local conference presidents and other Mid-Americans making a difference. Recently Outlook added a new column by Claudio Consuegra called "Love for a Lifetime." More good things are coming to Outlook ... stay tuned.

Beyond publishing our union magazine, the Communication Department serves Mid-American Adventists by mentoring local communication directors in sharing the vision of their own presidents and making use of opportunities with local secular media.

A major focus for the new quinquennium is improving our union website and helping local conferences do the same with their websites. Exciting potential exists, such as streaming video, podcasting, chat rooms, etc. Upon invitation we will assist local congregations in maximizing the potential of their new Adventist Church Connect websites through AdventSource.
